A large family lost their home and the father of the family died in a disastrous earthquake in Sichuan, China, 20.4.2013. About 180 people died in the incident, and over 11 300 were wounded. Zhang's family of eight fleed from their home as the earthquake begun. The family consisted of a mother, father and their seven children, the oldest of which was 17 and the youngest was two years old. The rest of the family managed to escape from the collapsing stone house, but the father of the family, Mîn didn't make it in time. He was the only working member of the family, so the mother and their children are now on the brink of bankruptcy. They now need a new home. Our goal is to collect 10 000 dollars for a new home. We will also try and find the mother a job, and her younger children a daycare so that they could begin a new life. The father of the family was also a volunteer at a local fire department, in addition to working at his main job. The 17-year old son had just received an internship from a nearby restaurant, which was also destroyed in the earthquake. The family does not want to leave Sichuan. Your help is valuable.
